Each year (usually in July), we

from 9AM to noon each day for a week.
We had 129 kids enrolled for that week last year! Check out
our
Kids VBS link to see more pictures and highlights of
last year’s Game Day Central and this year's Outrigger Island! Watch for details about this

Tug Fest Community Tailgating Party
| Each year, our community pulls together
during our annual
Tug Fest
weekend. Each year the community enjoys
a great parade which runs down Wisconsin Street, directly in front of
LeClaire Baptist Church! In 2003, LBC
began a community “Tailgating Party” in our parking lot during this parade. |
 |
 |
|
 |
We continued that tradition
ever since and brought in grills, cooked hot dogs, and
gave away plates of FREE food and drinks to all those who were in our area
watching the parade! We served around 200 people
this year, and plan another Tailgating Party next Tug Fest weekend! |
 |
|
 |
 |
If you plan to be around during next year's Tug Fest
Parade, park in our parking lot, bring some lawnchairs, and
“tailgate” before you watch the parade! |
| We had 200+ Krispy Kreme donuts donated
to us, bottled water donated, and we gave
out hot dogs, chips, water, kool-aid, and donuts to around 200
people watching or part of the parade! |
 |
 |
|
 |
 |
 |
|
 |
 |
 |
|
 |
 |
Hope to see you next
year! Watch for dates for LeClaire's Tug Fest parade. Stop by early and "tailgate"! |
Tug Fest Booth
|
LeClaire’s Tug Fest
has grown over the years and is a great weekend in our community,
attracting over 10,000 people over the weekend!
Check out their link above or
TugFest.com
for more details. Over the past 5
years, we set up a booth down with all of the other vendors, games,
rides, etc… |
 |
We had a registration
drawing and have given away prizes like a mountain bike, DVD player, gift card to
Gander Mountain, ipod, and more over the years!
|
|
 |
We
also gave away free LBC balloons filled with helium for the kids,
free water, had free facepainting for the kids, and had great
opportunities to meet not only people from LeClaire, but from all
over the country! |
 |
|
 |
We had almost 200 people
stop by our booth! Look for us again for Tug Fest 2008! |

Our teens head over to our Youth
Pastor's home and enjoy watching
the “Big Game” on the “Big Screen” with their friends. With plenty of food, drinks, and prizes, it makes
for an exciting night cheering on your team!
Halloween Open
House
We have an Open House of our facilities during Halloween
night each year. We open up our
facilities, hand out bags of candy, pumpkins, give away hot chocolate, cookies,
balloons, and information about our church and kids ministries! We have a powerpoint display set up about
our ministries and services, as well as a tour of our classrooms and facilities
and facepainting for the kids.
Christmas in LeClaire
Nativity Scene
Each year, our teens set up and “man” a Nativity Scene
at "Grasshoppers" in downtown LeClaire during our “Christmas in LeClaire”
weekend. They dress up in costumes for
those parts, give away hot chocolate and cookies all while Christmas music is
playing and filtering through downtown LeClaire. "Christmas in LeClaire"
is usually the first full weekend in December. Check the city link for
confirmation of those dates.
Baby
Care Package & New Family Welcome Letters
With the LeClaire community growing comes plenty of
opportunities to welcome new families and individuals moving into
LeClaire. We have enjoyed sending out
a Welcome letter and brochure to each new family moving into or transferring
to LeClaire each month. This gives an
opportunity to inform each new family about our church, ministries, and
community. We also have given out a
package of baby care items to mothers with new babies each month, showing
them we care.
