Kids
Summer VBX (Vacation Bible EXperience) Program

Each year (usually in July), we
have a different theme for our VBX week for all kids age 4 through 6th grade
from 9AM to noon each day for a week.
We had around 60 kids involved for that week this summer! Check out
our
Kids VBX link to see more pictures and
highlights! Get more information about next summer's VBX week
by clicking on the "kids vbx" link on the left of this page. Register
online from our "kids vbx" page beginning in June, 2012 or by e-mailing
leclairebaptist@leclairebaptist.org
for more information.
Tug Fest Community Tailgating Party
& booth
Each year, our community pulls together
during our annual
Tug Fest
weekend. Each year the community enjoys
a great parade which runs down Wisconsin Street, directly in front of
LeClaire Baptist Church! In 2003, LBC
began a community “Tailgating Party” in our parking lot during this parade and
has continued it every year since. We bring in grills, cook hot dogs, and
give away plates of FREE food and drinks to all those who were in our area
watching the parade! We served around
200 people this year, and plan another tailgating party during Tug Fest weekend
in 2012! If you plan to be around during this year's Tug Fest
parade, park in our parking lot, bring some lawnchairs, and
“tailgate” as you enjoy free food and drinks while you watch the parade - all for FREE and no obligation! We usually give
out hot dogs, chips, water, kool-aid, etc... and also have free facepainting for kids, give out free helium balloons, and have a
large parking lot for free parking and a great place to set your
lawnchairs right along the route! Hope to
see you in 2012 - stop by early and "tailgate"! Watch for dates for LeClaire's Tug Fest parade
on the Tug Fest link.

CrossRoads
Teen Superbowl Party
Each
February, teens head over to our Youth
Pastor's home and enjoy watching
the “Big Game” on the “Big Screen” with their friends. With plenty of food, drinks, and prizes, it makes
for an exciting night cheering on your team! Check out our CrossRoads
teen page link for more info.

Halloween Open
House
We have an Open House
for kids during Halloween
night each year. We open up our
facilities, hand out bags of candy, pumpkins, give away hot chocolate,
cookies, balloons, and information about our church and kids programs! We have a powerpoint display set up about
our church and kids programs, as well as a tour of our classrooms and facilities
and facepainting for the kids.
2008
RAGBRAI involvement
LeClaire was the ending site of 2008's RAGBRAI bikeride
across Iowa. LBC volunteers took pictures of some of the 15,000 +
riders as they dipped their tires in the Mississippi River and gave out a
card with our website where we uploaded those pictures to view to download
and print those pictures for free.
Baby
Care Package & New Family Welcome Letters
With the LeClaire community growing comes plenty of
opportunities to welcome new families and individuals moving into
LeClaire. We have enjoyed sending out
a welcome letter and brochure to each new family moving into or transferring
to LeClaire in the past. This gives an
opportunity to inform each new family about our church, programs, and
community. We have also periodically
given out a package of baby care items to moms with new babies, showing
them we care.
